LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of a person who was struck by multiple vehicles while walking across U.S. 95.

Medical examiners did not immediately disclose a cause and manner of death for 22-year-old Leandrew Corey Wells of Las Vegas.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, Wells was walking eastbound across U.S. 95 near Lake Mead Boulevard just before noon on Sunday.

NHP said a southbound pick-up truck struck Wells. Wells continued onto the northbound travel lanes where a car's left-side struck him, NHP said.

Wells continued onto the far right northbound lane when a pick-up truck's front end struck the pedestrian.

Nevada Highway Patrol says the victim was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition, but died shortly after.

Traffic was diverted off the freeway and onto Lake Mead. U.S. 95 reopened around 2 p.m.

Troopers say it's unclear why the man was walking along the freeway.
