Suspect in fatal Vegas double shooting arrested

Police arrested a man accused in a double shooting at a Las Vegas mobile home park that resulted in a person's death.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Gary Chambers, 45, was identified as the person suspected in the shooting in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North about 10:21 a.m. Tuesday.

A Criminal Apprehension Team took Chambers into custody about 8:45 p.m. the same day in the area of Lamb Boulevard and Owens Avenue, police said.

Detectives said a man and a woman were wounded in the shooting. Both were taken to University Medical Center, where the man was pronounced dead.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Chambers was booked into Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon.

Authorities have not disclosed the names of either victim.
