LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Bo Peep will have to wake up from her dream now.

The lauded music and dance production PEEPSHOW will end its four-year run at Planet Hollywood hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip on Sept. 1, the show announced Tuesday.

By the time the curtain goes down for good, the so-called "striptease spectacular" will have staged more than 1,500 shows since its start in March 2009.

The production features a storyline in which the lead character Bo Peep falls into a dream world intertwined with childhood stories and nursery rhymes but with an adult twist.

PEEPSHOW has featured a number of actresses who have taken turns playing the lead character. Some of those actresses include recording artist Mel B. of Spice Girls fame and General Hospital star Kelly Monaco.

The role was famously filled by Playboy pin-up Holly Madison, who was seen taking on Bo Peep in the reality TV series Holly's World.

Coco Austin, who has been in the show since December 2012, is slated to be the final actress to take on the lead.

The production is scheduled weekly Sunday-Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Tickets for the final shows are available at ticketmaster.com or at 1-800-745-3000.
