A scene that was responsible for the fall that killed a Las Vegas performer in the Cirque du Soleil production KA will unlikely be part of the show when it resumes.

A spokesperson with Cirque told FOX5 Monday it is fully cooperating with an investigation by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) officials. The production was shut down indefinitely after an in-show incident that resulted in the death of Sarah Guyard on June 29.

The Cirque spokesperson said performances aren't expected to resume before July 16.

Witnesses at the show housed at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino said the acrobatic artist was dangling from a wire at least 50 feet in the air when she fell suddenly in the show's final act.

This marked the first performer death during a Cirque show in the company's 30 years.

Following the incident, Cirque founder Guy Laliberté said in a statement, "I am heartbroken. I wish to extend my sincerest sympathies to the family. We are all completely devastated with this news. Sassoon was an artist with the original cast of since 2006 and has been an integral part of our Cirque du Soleil tight family. We are reminded, with great humility and respect, how extraordinary our artists are each and every night. Our focus now is to support each other as a family. "
