A 26-year-old Las Vegas man was identified Monday as the person shot to death outside a night club east of the Strip last week.

According to the Clark County Coroner's office, Ned Young died of multiple gunshot wounds as a result of a homicide.

Police said the shooting in which Young died happened just after 3 a.m. on July 5 in the 21700 block of S. Maryland Parkway, between Karen Avenue and Vegas Valley Drive.

Police said gunshots were heard in the parking as people were leaving the club. Young was shot multiple times while a 21-year-old woman sustained a wound in the foot, Metro said.

Both victims were taken to Sunrise Hospital Trauma, where the man later died.

Police did not disclose any description on a suspect. Police, citing witnesses, noted a red Corvette was seen leaving the area northbound on Maryland at the time of the shooting.

Officers did not confirm if the vehicle is related to the incident.
