LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man was shot and killed outside of a night club east of the Las Vegas Strip, police said Friday.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, calls of a reported shooting came in just after 3 a.m. in the 2700 block of S. Maryland Parkway, between Karen Avenue and Vegas Valley Drive.

Police said gunshots were heard in the parking as people were leaving the club. A man his 20s was shot multiple times while a 21-year-old woman sustained a wound in the foot, Metro said.

Both victims were taken to Sunrise Hospital Trauma, where the man later died.

Police did not disclose any description on a suspect. Police, citing witnesses, noted a red Corvette was seen leaving the area northbound on Maryland at the time of the shooting.

Officers, though, did not confirm if the vehicle is related to the incident.
