206 treated for heat-related illness at Warped Tour concert

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

According to Clark County Fire Department, 206 attendees of the Vans Warped Tour at the Silverton hotel-casino had to be treated for heat-related injuries on Friday afternoon.

Among the attendees, 34 people had to be hospitalized.

Firefighters said most of the attendees overwhelmed by the heat were simply provided with shade, water and a place to sit down.

Fire officials said they received a call from an onsite medical company requesting assistance shortly after 4:30 p.m. Clark County Fire started a triage, bringing in additional ambulances from Medic West, AMR and Henderson Fire.

The Warped Tour is an outdoors music festival show featuring numerous bands. The show concluded at 9 p.m. on Friday.
