LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A Las Vegas Metro police officer was involved in a shooting in west Las Vegas on Thursday morning, according to a spokesperson for the department.

Larry Hadfield, public information officer for LVMPD, said the shooting happened about 10 a.m. at 7100 Pirate Cove Road, near the intersection of Westcliff Drive and Antelope Way.

Hadfield said the shooting happened while officers were serving a search warrant.

Other details about the shooting, including injuries, were not immediately released.
