Fans and DJs say EDC Las Vegas is best in the world

Posted: Updated:

Although there are other Electric Daisy Carnivals across the country, including in Chicago and New York, fans of electric dance music say few compare to Las Vegas' EDC.

"We just all love to get together a whole bunch of people coming together for the music, and have a great time," said Trevor Smith who came to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from Hawaii.

Many ravers said here they can see so many of their favorite DJs in just one night.

"Some of my favorite ones I'm looking forward to tonight is ATB, Data Life and Armin Van Buuren," said Stefan Hasselfield who came to EDC from Canada.

And the fans aren't the only ones who love to come to EDC in Las Vegas.

Andre Tanneberger is a German DJ who performs under the name ATB.

While he plays festivals around the world, he said Las Vegas' EDC is special.

"It's not just DJs playing, it's just such an amazing show," Tanneberger told FOX5.

Meanwhile fans on the Strip said they're even going to enjoy the long ride to the speedway.

"I'm going to do what everyone else in EDC traffic does, listen to some EDM," one raver visiting from Hawaii told FOX5.

Last year performers like Tanneberger were also caught in the traffic.

"I think we had two hours in traffic, and I was afraid not to be on stage in time," Tanneberger said.

But this year performers are getting a special route though Nellis Air Force Base to get to the speedway quicker.
