Police are warning of burglars who are preying on churchgoers in the Valley.
The Peoria Police Department said there have been several cases where the suspect or suspects take the garage door opener after breaking into vehicles parked in church parking lots.
The burglar or burglars then go to the home of the car owner, get in with the garage door opener and steal from their home.
Peoria police Spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said in one of the incidents, surveillance video captured the use of a stolen credit card at a local business. The Peoria Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the woman in the surveillance image. If you have information, call 623-773-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
The Peoria Police Department is working with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Phoenix Police Department and Surprise Police Department on the investigation.
