Man sought in 2 Las Vegas bank hold-ups

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police believe one man is responsible for holding up two banks in the Las Vegas Valley this month.

Las Vegas Metro police said the robberies the suspect is connected to happened on June 4 in the area of Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive and June 11 at Desert Inn Road and Decatur Boulevard. The first robbery occurred about 3:50 p.m. while the second hold-up happened about 11:30 a.m.

According to police, the suspect approached the teller, demanded money and fled once obtaining it in both incidents.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 30s or 40s, 5'6" to 5'9" and about 160 pounds with a medium build and a goatee.

Police said he was last seen wearing a leather cap, black T-shirt and blue jeans.
