JEAN, NV (FOX5) -

Nevada Highway Patrol said a bicyclist died after a collision involving a dump truck south of Las Vegas Wednesday.

Authorities reported the incident at about 8:15 a.m. on northbound Las Vegas Boulevard (State Road 604) at Mile Marker 17 near Sloan.

NHP said the 35-year-old male victim on the bike died at the scene. There were no other reported injuries.

Troopers said traffic is being diverted to the Sloan interchange as they investigate the incident. Authorities said motorists should expect a delay of a couple of hours.
