The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Tuesday announced one of its officers has been relieved of duty without pay in relation to drug charges.
Ramin Amely, a six-year veteran of the force who was most recently assigned to Metro's Traffic Bureau, has agreed to plead guilty to two felony counts of possession of controlled substance and obtaining multiple prescriptions without disclosure.
Amely is scheduled to appear in court on July 1. It is expected he will enter his guilty plea at that time.
