A suspect who admitted to setting fire inside a Las Vegas church was slated to make his initial court appearance Tuesday.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Adrian Kincade, 35, was charged with burglary and first degree arson in connection to a June 14 fire at Nellis Baptist Church in the 4300 block of N. Las Vegas Boulevard.

In an arrest report, Kincade was seen exiting the place of worship in the early morning hours just as fire began to erupt there.

Police later detained Kincade, who, according to the report, admitted to breaking into a set of front glass doors and setting a bench and a table afire.

In the report, Kincade told police he had an ongoing dispute with a pastor there. A church official confirmed the continuing feud in the report, saying Kincade trespassed on the property once before and even threatened a pastor and his family.

The fire caused $40,000 worth of damage.

Kincade's 72-hour hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court was slated for 7:30 a.m.
