KINGMAN, AZ (FOX5) -

Mohave County sheriff's detectives say a teen met a man charged with sex offenses on Facebook.

Deputies arrested Jason Souza, 26, a transient, on Friday. He's accused of attempting to lure a minor for sex exploitation and furnishing obscene material to a minor, both felonies.

On May 15, detectives responded to a report from a mother in Kingman, AZ, that her 14-year-old daughter may have been the victim of a sex offense.

The victim said she initially met Souza on Facebook and met him in person on May 8. Detectives said Souza sent the girl nude pictures of himself and tried to coax her into sending him naked pictures of herself in return.

Detectives found Souza had already been incarcerated earlier in the week on two felony warrants for forgery in Mohave County as well as a fugitive warrant out of Redding, CA.

Police said Souza denied knowing the teen and said he has been faithful to his girlfriend of one year.

Detectives said the investigation is ongoing and are asking other potential victims to come forward by calling Detective John Goodwin at 928-753-0753.
