Madison shooting suspect jailed on $5 million bond

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The man suspected of shooting a woman and her three daughters Friday at an apartment complex in Madison has been formally charged with four counts of attempted homicide.

Bond for Earnest Moore, formerly known as Earnest Woodley, was set at $5 million Monday in Davidson County court.

Police had been searching for Moore after the shooting that sent Nicole Luke and her daughters Deona, Keona and Kierra to the hospital.

Moore surrendered about 4:20 a.m. Sunday in Memphis, and police later transferred him back to Nashville.

Metro Nashville Police describe Luke as Moore's girlfriend, and a witness told officers that Moore shot Luke and her daughters after an argument.

According to Metro police, Nicole Luke has been released from hospital, and the three girls remain in stable condition.

Police said the shooting suspect has legally changed his last name from Woodley to Moore.
