A Henderson woman was identified as the person who died in a three-vehicle wreck during rush hour traffic on U.S. 95 near Horizon Road Thursday afternoon.
The Clark County Coroner did not, though, release a cause of death for 23-year-old Erica Funtila.
The wreck happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 95 just before 5 p.m.
The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) said a black GMC truck sideswiped a tow truck on the left shoulder before spinning into traffic.
The GMC truck was then struck by a Toyota Camry. The driver of the GMC truck died at the scene.
"Any time an emergency vehicle - whether it be police, fire, ambulance or tow truck - is off the road, it's the driver's responsibility to slow down, and if they are able, move over to the adjacent lanes safely," said NHP Trooper Loy Hixson.
Two people who were in the Camry suffered injuries.
