LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Jose Canseco claimed Wednesday his sexual assault case against him is closed despite Las Vegas Metro police saying otherwise.

Two weeks after the former Major League slugger took to his official Twitter account to call out his accuser, a person tweeting through that account said Canseco passed a second lie detector test for police.

That person also added the allegations were dropped and the case is closed. Las Vegas Metro police told FOX5 on Wednesday that the case is still open and under investigation.

In addition, the Canseco's Twitter account goes on to address his accuser to drop the accusations or face civil charges of his own.

The accusations were revealed on May 22 when Canseco's Twitter described police coming to his home.

"Breaking news this is a first folks las vegas police was just at my house i have been charged with a rape," the tweet said.

In the same tweet, a person, who is identified as a fitness model, is named as the accuser. Those tweets have since been deleted.

Canseco's verified Twitter account currently holds more than 510,000 followers.
