Water drive for homeless kicks off

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

It's an important time to remember the homeless here in the Valley while they deal with the summer heat without any shelter. HELP of Southern Nevada kicked off the "Help20" bottled water drive to assist them that will last through August.

Whole Foods Market and Real Water of Las Vegas are teaming up to assist with the drive. Whole Foods is serving as a water drop off location at all four of their Vegas stores. Real Water is matching each bottled water donation of Real Water throughout the drive.

You can drop off bottled water or spare change to Whole Foods at Tenaya and Lake Mead Boulevard, in Henderson at 100 S. Green Valley Pkwy., at Fort Apache and Charleston or the location at Town Square. The drive continues until Aug. 31.

Last year HELP of Southern Nevada said they were able to collect and distribute almost 15,000 bottles of water and they hope this year will be even bigger.
