LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

For the second time in less than six months, a Valley woman is burying one of her children.

Jordan Myers, 21, died from an asthma attack last Thursday. He was the older brother of Jade Morris, a little girl who was stabbed to death last December.

On Monday evening, friends and family gathered at Firefighter Memorial Park in Las Vegas to remember Myers.

"The last thing I would want to happen was to lose another one of my children," said Myers' mother, Tejuana Reeves.

Reeves is still grieving over the death of Jade Morris, who was just 10. Fighting back tears, she arrived at the park on Monday to a large group of people sharing in her loss.

"Got to keep going, got to keep living. I've got one child left. Got to live for her," Reeves said.

Jazmine Myers is Reeves' surviving child. She and Jordan Myers had a close relationship.

"I was his baby. He couldn't do anything without me, and I couldn't do anything without him," Jazmine Myers said.

Jordan Myers' friends said he loved life and loved to have fun.

"I still can't believe it. Doesn't make any sense. We've all known him for years," said Ashley Smith, a friend of Jordan Myers.

An account has been set up at U.S. Bank to help the family of Jordan Myers and Jade Morris with funeral expenses. The account number is 153755756670.
