HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
A standoff with a man wanted by Henderson police ended with an arrest Friday afternoon.
The standoff began about 1 p.m. near the intersection of Center Street and Warm Springs Road.
Keith Paul, public information officer for the Henderson Police Department, said a man who is wanted in connection with the theft of a moped and other property crimes in the neighborhood is refusing to come out of his apartment.
Paul said that when officers arrived, the wanted man's friends came out and told police the man they are looking for is inside. He said when the man refused to come out, officers set up a perimeter.
By 4 p.m., Paul said gas was launched into the apartment to get the man to exit. He said the man was then arrested.
