It may not be snowing in Vegas, but Opportunity Village brings the holiday spirit to life early this year with their Ho! Ho! Speedo-Oh! fundraiser.
The creators of the Las Vegas Santa Run along with comedian host Brad Garrett invite the city to join the race on Tuesday, June 18, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Inspired by popular runs in other states, this fundraiser will kick off with an open-bar cocktail party at MEET Las Vegas, where participants are invited to a party with libations and food, along with entertainment from Brad Garrett. There will also be appearances by Chippendales and Pin Up star, Claire Sinclair.
At 6 p.m. runners will flood downtown Las Vegas, wearing their Christmas Speedos and bathing suits for the 1-mile run.
For a registration fee of $50, participants will have a night to remember with VIP access to the Ho! Ho! Speedo-Oh! Party. This will include an open bar provided by Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada. Other offers include an event T-shirt and swag bag filled with gifts from event vendors. Early registration is encouraged as the run will host a maximum of 1,000 runners.
Opportunity Village wants runners to call on family and friends to support the cause with an additional $100 donation. OV provides enrichment and support for nearly 3,000 citizens with disabilities and their families throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
"Since The Las Vegas Great Santa Run has become such a beloved tradition, we wanted to host a unique summer event to help get supporters in the spirit all-year-round," said Linda Smith, Associate Executive Director of Opportunity Village. "We are bringing The Great Santa Run to the Fremont Street Experience in December 2013, making it the perfect location to also host the inaugural Ho! Ho! Speedo-Oh!"
Don festive bikinis and beat the heat with a sexy outfit to benefit a good cause. Participants can be sure to be found on the "nice list" after participating in this festive, charity run.
Registration is open at HoHoSpeedoh.com and OV encourages runners to be creative, yet tasteful with their outfit selection.
