LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Thirty-one fallen officers will be memorialized when police from numerous southern Nevada agencies gather for the Southern Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial on Thursday.

The annual event includes the families of the fallen and pays tribute to law enforcement officers lost in the line of duty in southern Nevada dating back to 1905.

Those being memorialized on Thursday include fallen officers from Metro, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the FBI, Henderson Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, Nevada Department of Corrections, Nye County Sheriff's Office, United States Marshal Service and Union Pacific Railroad.

The ceremony is set to get underway at 7 p.m. at Police Memorial Park, 3250 Metro Academy Way in Las Vegas. The event is free and open to the public.

Speakers will include Metro Sheriff Doug Gillespie, Las Vegas Councilman Stavros Anthony and Clark County Commissioner Larry Brown.

There have been no line-of-duty officer deaths in southern Nevada this year.
