A man arrested Monday in northwest Arizona is accused of fleeing the scene of a wreck and breaking into a home after the incident.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's office, Alford James Hicks, 35, was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal damage and failure to notify a collision involving an unattended vehicle.

The sheriff's office said witnesses in Kingman identified Hicks as the driver who crashed a gray Nissan vehicle into a parked vehicle and fence before fleeing from the scene.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies were notified of a nearby burglary taking place while they investigated the wreck.

The sheriff's office said deputies arrived at the home and arrested Hicks. Authorities said Hicks had a suspended license out of Massachusetts.

He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
