LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two men accused of taking a teen's iPad before running him over with a vehicle were each appointed an attorney during their scheduled initial hearing in court Tuesday.

A judge in Las Vegas Justice Court pushed back a bail and preliminary hearing for Michael Samuel Solid, 21, and Jacob Dismont, 18, to Thursday.

The two were charged with open murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection to the death of 15-year-old Marcos Arenas.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Arenas had his iPad taken away from him by one of two men. That suspect, in an arrest report, tried getting away in a sport-utility vehicle driven by another person.

Police said Arenas was still trying to get back his iPad before being knocked down by the vehicle and ran over.

In the arrest report, Metro said an anonymous tip led detectives to arrest Solid on Saturday after authorities released security video images of a man just moments before the incident.

Solid's girlfriend, in the report, led investigators to Dismont, who was detained at his home with a vehicle believed to be the one involved in the incident.

Both suspects denied any involvement in the boy's death. Both were booked into Clark County Detention Center.
