LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A high-speed crash on Sunday sent three teens to a hospital. One of them is listed in critical condition.

The crash occurred in an area of the Valley known for speeding, the industrial zone located at Pilot and Bermuda roads, south of Sunset Road.

The speed limit is 25 mph in the area, but the wreckage from the weekend accident makes it clear the Lexus the teens were traveling in was going much faster.

The Lexus was traveling eastbound on Pilot. The driver lost control, spun off the road and crashed into a tree.

"I've actually seen people drag racing here on the weekend in the past," said Marc Weiswasser, who owns a business in the area.

Weiswasser said drivers don't respect the speed limit in the area.

"I've seen two horrible accidents there. I got into one and last night there was one in front of our office," he said.

While there is no specific action plan in place to reduce speed-related accidents in the area, Metro is targeting those drivers who ignore the limit.

"If everyone just slows down and did not tailgate so much, we would not have this many problems," Weiswasser said.

The three teens involved in Sunday's crash were taken to Sunrise Hospital. A 15-year-old from Henderson remains in critical condition.
