University of Nevada, Las Vegas named Monday an interim athletic director set to take over the role in July.
Tina Kunzer-Murphy, who is the school's director of alumni sponsorship, will succeed Jim Livengood after his retirement goes in effect on June 30, UNLV announced.
According to the school, Kunzer-Murphy, a UNLV alumnist, has served in the alumni relations department since January. Before that, the school said, she served as the executive director of the Las Vegas Bowl for ESPN Regional Television for 12 years.
She has also served various positions in the UNLV athletic department during a period between 1977 and 1992.
"Tina brings a wealth of experience to UNLV and I am truly grateful that she will be serving in this critical role," said UNLV President Neal Smatresk.
Last month, Livengood announced his retirement after nearly four years on the job.
