NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

North Las Vegas police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with the April 6 slaying of his wife.

Jarom Boyes, age undisclosed, faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

On April 6, police responded to the 80 block of Whitetail Archery Avenue to the report of a suicide. They located the body of a 24-year-old woman who had died from a single gunshot wound.

The caller claimed the unidentified woman took her life following an argument with her husband. However, evidence at the scene suggested otherwise and detectives investigated the death as homicide.

Detectives determined the victim and Boyes began arguing while out with friends that evening. When they returned home, the argument turned physical and police allege Boyes shot his wife.
