Police said a suspect went on a crime spree by robbing two west Las Vegas businesses at knifepoint earlier this month.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a male suspect entered a store in the area of S. Durango Drive and Russell Road just after 12:15 a.m. on May 7.

There, police said, the suspect brought an item to the counter and pulled a folding knife, demanding money. After the clerk complied, the suspect fled.

Police said the same suspect held up a business in the area of Fort Apache Road and Twain Avenue about two hours after the first robbery.

The suspect was described as an Asian man, 30 to 35 years old, 5'5" to 5'7" and 150 to 160 pounds. Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a black "NY" baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt with orange and white writing on the front, black socks, white sneakers and a wedding ring.

Police urge anyone with information on the suspect to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
