LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man jaywalking across Las Vegas Blvd. at Spring Mountain Rd. was struck by a vehicle just after midnight, police said Wednesday.

Las Vegas Metro police reported the incident about 12:30 a.m.

Police said he victim was taken to a local hospital with serious, possibly critical injuries.

Authorities noted overhead pedestrian bridges are offered at the intersection.

The intersection was shut down following the incident but was reopened before the morning rush hour.
