NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

Marlena Cabrera is watching news of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight reunited with their families with a hopeful eye.

"I'm very, very happy for those three women and their families. It's got to be an amazing moment and feeling that's probably unreal for all of them," Cabrera told FOX5.

Cabrera's daughter, Everlyse, would be 9 years old today.

But her mother has not seen her since she was 2, and Cabrera's mind has been filled with fears ever since.

"It just makes me wonder where my daughter could be and what could be happening to her. … There's a lot of feelings as a mother that it gives me that I can't put out of my mind," Cabrera said.

What exactly happened to Everlyse is still a mystery.

Seven years ago, her foster parents reported her missing from their North Las Vegas home.

Her foster parents, who were never named as suspects, told police they believed Everlyse unlatched the front door in the middle of the night and walked away.

Cabrera said those foster parents stopped cooperating with investigators early on.

"To this day, there's people out there that have to know something, that at least were in the home with her," Cabrera said.

After the rescue of the girls in Ohio, Cabrera said her hope of seeing Everlyse again is stronger than ever before.

"Today's story has definitely put that big spark just back into it that it's never impossible," Cabrera said.
