Vegas man in wheelchair struck by car ID'd

Authorities released the name of a man in a motorized wheelchair who was struck by a vehicle in west Las Vegas on Monday.

Raybert Radomes, 56, was identified as the person who died in the incident, the Clark County Coroner's office said.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Radomes was taken to University Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle just before 11 a.m. in the 5800 block of Flamingo Rd., west of Jones Blvd.

Police said the 56-year-old victim was attempting to cross Flamingo when he was struck by a 2007 Chrysler.

Radomes was hospitalized and pronounced dead six hours later. The 68-year-old male driver of the Chrysler was not injured.

This marks the 41st traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction so far in 2013.
