4 killed in wrong-way wreck outside Pahrump

PAHRUMP, NV (FOX5) -

Authorities said a driver going the wrong way on U.S. 95 led to a two-vehicle wreck that killed four people outside of Pahrump on Sunday.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a Buick was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of U.S. 95 near Mile Marker 28 when it struck a Toyota van head-on just before 10:45 p.m.

The collision caused both vehicles to burst into flames, troopers said. NHP said the incident resulted in the death of two people in the Buick and two people in the Toyota.

NHP said identification of the four victims was still pending.
