It wouldn't be fight night in Las Vegas without the thousands of boxing fans who come to town from all over the country and the world to support Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Robert Guerrero.
Along with all the fans come the thousands of dollars they'll be contributing to the local economy.
An MGM spokesperson says 15,000 and 16,000 fans are attending the fight, which is expected to completely sell out.
Fans say paying for travel, accommodations, tickets, bets, and souvenirs adds up fast. Fans in the MGM lobby before the fight admitted to spending anywhere between a couple hundred dollars, to tens of thousands of dollars for one weekend.
Many of them say being there to watch the showdown is completely worth it.
"It's a once in a lifetime event for me. At that point, money wasn't a factor at that point," said Kervin Rigaud, who flew in from New York to support Team Mayweather.
Rigaud was one among thousands rooting for a Mayweather victory. An MGM spokesperson says Mayweather has 6 to 1 odds over Guerrero.
A spokesperson at the MGM says all 5,000 rooms at the resort sold out on fight night.
