Demolition of the Oasis Casino and Resort in Mesquite will begin on Saturday, according to officials.
Aaron Baker, spokesman for the city, said Lunas Inc. will take about three months to tear down the spa, casino, go-kart track and signs. He said the sky bridge on the property will remain.
The Oasis originally opened in 1970s as the Peppermill.
Plans for the future of the property, which is owned by CasaBlanca Resorts, was not immediately released.
