LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The professional ranks await Las Vegas native and UNLV basketball star Anthony Marshall. But before he makes the leap to a possible NBA team, Marshall is slated to be honored by his former school.
Clifford Findlay Middle School scheduled a special assembly Wednesday to retire Marshall's number. The school said the University of Nevada, Las Vegas senior will speak to the student body about excelling in the classroom and on the court.
Marshall will also participate in the annual students vs. staff basketball game following the assembly, the school said.
Marshall, who wore No. 3 as the starting point guard for the Runnin' Rebels, averaged 10 points and nearly 6 assists a game in his senior campaign.
