The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada hosts their annual LGBTQ Youth Prom.
This year's prom theme is "GAYMER," those attending are encouraged to wear video game costumes or prom attire. No jeans allowed.
The youth prom will be held on Sat. May 4 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m at The Center, located on 401 S. Maryland Parkway.
It's open to anyone ages 13 to 24 years old.
The purpose of the dance is to provide a space for the LGBTQ and straight youth community to express themselves in a safe and fun environment.
Last year nearly 300 youths attended the event, but organizations are hoping for a larger turnout as the new venue can hold more than 600.
A $5 donation will be requested but no one will be turned away if they can't pay.
