Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in a deadly motorcycle accident that happened in northwest Las Vegas Tuesday night.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the single-vehicle wreck at 10:21 p.m. near Kyle Canyon and Oso Blanca roads, just west of the U.S. 95 freeway.
Police said a 2011 Honda motorcycle appeared to have traveled northbound on Oso Blanca when it left the roadway to the right. The rider traveled down an embankment, ejecting him, police said.
The 28-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.
As of this incident, Metro has investigated 40 traffic-related fatalities this year.
The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to release the name and cause of death for the motorcyclist.
