The east side of Las Vegas will be Metro's next target for catching impaired drivers.
Officers on Friday evening will conduct a sobriety checkpoint at Lamb Boulevard south of Charleston Boulevard between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Saturday.
Police will be targeting those motorists under the influence of drugs and alcohol, with the aim of reducing crashes because of impaired drivers.
Metro said this is just the latest move in its overall effort to reduce the number of DUI-related traffic collisions and fatalities.
