LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Las Vegas Metro police identified a 27-year-old man believed to have stabbed a woman to death during a fight early Sunday morning.
Detectives named Nathan Benson was as a suspect in the stabbing death of 44-year-old Shanna Ralston, of Las Vegas.
The stabbing happened after midnight in the 6300 block of Greyhawk Avenue, near Washington Avenue and Jones Boulevard.
Police said officers were called to the area after reports of a woman bleeding. They said Ralston, who was found in the roadway, appeared to have suffered stab wounds and was taken to University Medical Center, where she died.
An investigation led homicide detectives to believe a fight occurred between Benson and Ralston, who escaped and sought help, police said.
Benson was described as white, about 5'5" tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he has tattoos of skulls on his upper, right arm and the numbers "702" on his upper, left arm.
