LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Firefighters on Thursday evening battled a two-alarm fire at a Sky Las Vegas, a high-rise condo complex located at 2700 Las Vegas Boulevard.

The fire broke out around 8:20 p.m. on the fifth floor of the complex in a Jacuzzi area of a unit patio.

Firefighters said no one was home when the fire broke out, but two security guards received minor injuries for which they were hospitalized. Firefighters managed to knock the fire down quickly.

Las Vegas Boulevard was closed near the fire, as was the area nearest the Las Vegas Convention Center. All roads have since reopened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
