LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities have arrested a man accused of setting fire to a Las Vegas autism center Monday.

According to Eric Pappa, spokesman for the Clark County Fire Department, firefighters were called to the building at 7055 Windy St. that houses LasVegasAutism.com - a group that uses the arts and sports to help those affected by autism.

Pappa said that firefighters arrived to find that sprinklers had extinguished the blaze.

Investigators found evidence that a Molotov cocktail had been used to start the fire, Pappa said. He said the building sustained about $50,000 worth of damage.

Samuel Powers was charged with first-degree arson and burglary in connection with the blaze, according to Pappa.
