Last year's event was a big success and so An Evening with Dave Rice is returning to Las Vegas.
Rice, head coach of the UNLV Runnin' Rebels, along with his wife Mindy, will host the event at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 3.
The event is upscale and will include a reception, silent auction, sit-down dinner, live auction and formal presentation. Rice will present the Kenny Guinn Award for Commitment to Community to Bruce Woodbury. Woodbury, a longtime Clark County commissioner, is being recognized for his various contributions to the community.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Dave Rice Foundation, which allocates resources to autism-related organizations throughout southern Nevada.
The auction will include memorabilia autographed by celebrities including Jimmy Kimmel, Wayne Newton and Terry Fator. You'll also be able to bid on show tickets and dinners at some of Las Vegas' top restaurants.
Last year's event helped the Dave Rice Foundation award more than $125,000 in grants.
The VIP cocktail reception and silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m., to be followed by the rest of the program. For tickets or to make a donation, visit www.davericefoundation.org.
