LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
It's hard to miss. The new electronic marquee for the Aria Resort and Casino stands 260 feet, making it the tallest such structure on the Las Vegas Strip.
It's 65 feet wide and 15 feet deep, allowing pedestrians to walk through the legs of the structure.
MGM Resorts International said the majority of the surface of the marquee is LED display, comprised of nearly 11,000 square feet of LED per side. The marquee consists of 11 million pixels and uses 22,000 feet of fiber-optic cable inside.
Testing on the $18 million marquee is expected to continue for a few days.
