LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Can't make it to Italy for vacation this summer? The Las Vegas Strip will bring the festival experience to you.
Inspired by the festivals that grace the small villages and towns of Italy, beginning May 27 and lasting throughout the summer, The Venetian and The Palazzo resorts are hosting Carnevale 2013.
The festival will revolve around a celebration of entertainment, art, fashion, games, sports, music and wine.
"The magic of Carnevale is never knowing what unexpected surprise is around the corner," said John Caparella, president and chief operating officer of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo. "Carnevale offers the perfect place to unmask your inner artist, adventurer, foodie and romantic."
Among the highlights will be Light of Venice, a 3-D light projection show on the façade of the clock tower at the Venetian. The Grand Pools of The Venetian will host special events and activities and each night there will be an electric light parade through the resort.
Property restaurants will participate with new menu options and special culinary events.
