Los Angeles rapper and rising star in popular music Kendrick Lamar has tabbed The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for a tour stop next month.
The Las Vegas Strip resort announced Lamar will perform at the Boulevard Pool on Wednesday, May 22 at 9 p.m. Tickets, which start at $40, will go on sale April 12 at cosmopolitanlasvegas.com, Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations.
Lamar's supporting acts include rappers ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock.
At 25 years old, the Compton, Calif. artist scored a commercial and critical hit with his debut album, "good kid, m.A.A.d city", last year. Lamar simmered under the surface with mixtapes supported by established artists like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
Lamar has also held numerous nightclub gigs in Las Vegas since his album dropped late last year. His last non-club show in Las Vegas was in October 2012 at the Hard Rock Café on the Strip.
