Nevada Department of Transportation will be hosting its own "storage wars" during an auction in downtown Las Vegas Saturday.
The department said it acquired two storage facilities in anticipation of a future project for Interstate 15. The owners of the 42 storage units have not removed their items from storage.
The public will have the opportunity to bid on the storage units, including the contents within, beginning with bidder registration at 8 a.m.
The auctions will take place at two locations – first, at 351 S. Martin Luther King Drive and, after the first auction, a block away at 295 S. Martin Luther King.
NDOT says the units will remain locked until the actual time of sale for the individual units. Bidders will have a small amount of time to view the contents once they are open but are not allowed to enter the storage or touch any items.
NDOT warns all sales are final and all contents are sold as-is.
