On Saturday at 12:25 a.m., six people were injured in a shooting in the 1700 block of Curran Way in west Las Vegas, near Owens Avenue and H Street.
Metro police said an unknown group of assailants fired on the party. One victim suffered life-threatening wounds.
Police said that initially witnesses and victims were not cooperative with the investigation but that they developed leads as community members came forward.
To address fears and possibly garner more leads, Metro police will hold a community awareness gathering on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Bolden Area Command, 1851 Stella Lake St., off Martin Luther King Boulevard just north of Vegas Drive.
Police are urging community members to attend and for more witnesses to come forward with information about the crime.
