The Clark County Coroner's office confirmed Monday the identities of a man and woman shot at their home.
Alma McManus, 67, and James Patrick McManus, 70, died as a result of a shooting on Friday.
Police said the couple's son, 43-year-old Joseph McManus, was charged in connection to the incident.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers received a call from Joseph McManus Friday night saying he found his parents shot to death inside a home in the 4300 block of Cottontail Lane.
Police said further investigation revealed McManus shot both of his parents following an argument in the home where he also lives.
His father was dead when police arrived and his mother died later in the hospital.
McManus was arrested on two counts of murder for victims over 60 years of age.
Neighbor Bill Roberts said Joseph McManus is mentally ill and needed constant care and supervision from his parents.
Despite his illness, Roberts said McManus was never violent or aggressive.
"I never once thought he was violent... the way he was always friendly with us," Roberts explained. "The way he treated his mother and father when we were seeing him.
Another neighbor, Michael Wilson, said, "I've been there a couple times and the most I got out of him was a 'hi'. He didn't seem social, but he didn't seem like a bad guy either."
The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the names of the victims and the official cause of death.
