LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Cadaver dogs alerted Clark County firefighters to the possibility that there may be two deceased individuals at the Key Largo Hotel site fire.
After a thorough search was completed by Nevada Task Force 1 over the weekend at the Key Largo Hotel site, cadaver dogs found no one trapped and no bodies were located in the rubble.
Crews have searched the first of two spots thought to contain human remains, but found nothing.
The task force is comprised of first responders from Clark County Fire Department, Metro and other local agencies that are trained for search and rescue operations. This includes paramedics, doctors, hazmat personnel and structural engineers who also help assist paramedics and rescue specialists.
In this instance, not all of the Nevada Task Force 1 resources will be needed.
Crews resumed Sunday morning to search the second area. The work shut down two lanes of eastbound Flamingo for most of the day.
